      A commitment to sustainability and taste

      The Bakery and Coffee Shop Ensmann is backed by a dynamic team of around 30 male and female employees working at four locations. We are firmly rooted in the (Upper) Pinzgau region, our headquarters are based in Mittersill, while the other delicacy shops are located in Pinzgau, Hollersbach and Neukirchen am Großvenediger.

      The 3rd generation

      A qualified master baker, Gerald Ensmann has run the family business jointly with his wife Gabi Ensmann since 1990.

      Their son Michael Ensmann has worked in the company since 2011.

      Their youngest son, Daniel Ensmann, is currently completing his studies at the commercial academy in Zell am See.

    • Moving with the times:

      For us, 2019 has been the year of modernisation and digitisation. We have expanded the mainstay of our business by an online shop for our products and, with immediate effect, also run our very special own website.

      Traditional recipes combined with the latest, gentle baking methods – this is our recipe for success. In 2014, we launched a completely new bakery with state-of-the-art equipment in Aufeldstraße in Mittersill.

      Since 2007, we have expanded our Bakery and Coffeeshop by 3 additional shops operating at the following locations: Mühlbach in Pinzgau, Hollersbach and Neukirchen am Großvenediger. The original business in Mittersill was refurbished in 2004.

    • Our roots:

      The Bakery and Coffeeshop Ensmann was founded by Engelbert Ensmann in 1920. He purchased the former bakery Schrott, which was located at the bridge leading over the Salzach River, the “Salzachbrücke”. Since then, our company has maintained its close links with the Salzachbrücke and the fresh and pure mountain water of the Salzach River.

      In 1958, Erich Ensmann took over the shop and opened a new bakery at the company’s headquarters in Mittersill in 1964.
